13 March 2017 - Average unit prices of shipments to the European Union have significantly declined in both euro and US$ terms in full 2016. Chinese unit values have more sharply dropped than average in most product categories, without boosting exports to the EU, whereas Bangladesh has continued improving its market shares. Other leading suppliers have also cut their unit values in the last year. As usual, the market trends are rather different depending on product categories and origins. Our series of comparison tables offer a comprehensive view of EU clothing imports per HS 4-digit category with volume, value and unit price changes, while market shares are also calculated for each major supplying country.
