US Apparel Imports in 1st Quarter 2017: Categories (Statistical Report)

11 May 2017 - The US apparel imports have continued rising in the first quarter of the year thanks to a 5% gain in shipments of man-made fiber apparel whereas cotton apparel imports were again falling. The continual shift from cotton to polyester and other textile fibers over the past five years has resulted in a radical change in the market shares of every product category. Our series of statistical tables offer a comprehensive view of volume, value and unit value changes, compared with previous quarters and years in 2011-17.
