Cotton Prices on International and Domestic Markets (Weekly Report)

17 September 2018 - Cotton prices have stayed unchanged in the last week, with a good support above 81 cents per lb in New York. Sharply stronger demand from China, but also from Vietnam, Bangladesh and Indonesia should maintain prices at relatively high levels in the current season, as production will slightly drop and stocks will again plunge in China, according to just released USDA data. Our weekly cotton report covers the international futures market in New York and China, and the physical indicator "A Index". Domestic cotton prices in China, India and Pakistan are also reviewed through a large number of tables and charts. All data are available for download.
