E.U. Clothing Imports: Latest and Long-Term Trends (Monthly Report)

19 September 2017 - EU clothing imports have stayed depressed in volume terms in July whereas rising in value terms, over a rebound of unit prices. The recovery of the euro and the pound should however partly offset any jump of production costs in Asia. Our report covers monthly EU clothing import data, with historical trends being analyzed, and a specific focus on China vs Rest of World (RoW) and Bangladesh, and on knit vs woven clothing. China Yarn Prices: Domestic and Import Markets (Weekly Report)

19 September 2017 - Cotton yarn prices are now rising in China, although cotton prices are not significantly increasing. Domestic yarn prices are therefore climbing above yarn import prices, with demand for foreign yarns potentially rebounding. Our weekly report covers the China yarn domestic and import market indicators, as well as local market prices in Qianqing (Zhejiang). Prices of a large number of counts are released for spun cotton, polyester, viscose and blends. Import prices are also available for yarns from India, Indonesia, Pakistan, and Vietnam. Cotton Prices on International and Domestic Markets (Weekly Report)

18 September 2017 - Cotton prices have sharply fallen in the last week in New York, as weather worries eventually evaporated and the US Department of Agriculture predicted larger production and stocks in current season than earlier expected. Our weekly cotton report covers the international futures market in New York and China, and the physical indicator "A Index".
