Cotton Prices on International and Domestic Markets (Weekly Report)

18 June 2018 - Cotton prices have begun sharply sliding in New York over the announcement of a possible trade war between the US and China. The Chinese decision to raise its import quota by 800,000 metric tons should however bring some strong support to the market. Indian domestic prices have already been boosted by a very strong demand from China. Textile Fiber Price Comparison (Monthly Report)

15 June 2018 - Cotton prices have further surged in the last weeks whereas polyester was slightly sliding in China. Viscose prices have eventually rebounded in China and wool prices have further surged in Australia. Acrylic and nylon prices have also climbed to higher levels in the past four weeks, as reflected by our monthly report.
