13 December 2018 - Viscose fiber prices have stabilized in China where a weakness of demand is being offset by a fall of operating rates at VSF plants. In Pakistan by contrast, prices have been raised for the second consecutive week, mostly due to the new fall of the rupee. Polyester Fiber Prices in China, India and Pakistan (Weekly Report)

12 December 2018 - Polyester fiber prices have stabilized in the last days in China, remaining also stable in Pakistan. The fall of PTA prices in the past two days could result in lower polyester price levels in China, whereas a sharp decline of inventories could mean that demand and prices could rise, on the other hand. Prices of fibers and yarns are however declining in US$ terms after the governor of the central bank has been replaced ahead of general elections, resulting in a fall of the rupee.
