China Yarn Prices: Domestic and Import Markets (Weekly Report)

19 March 2019 - Viscose yarn prices are now falling in China, as a result of a sharp decline of viscose fiber prices in the past two weeks. Yarn import prices are also dropping, due to the rise of the yuan in the past period. Our weekly report covers the China yarn domestic and import market indicators, as well as local market prices in Qianqing and Shaoxing (Zhejiang). Prices of a large number of counts are released for spun cotton, polyester, viscose and blends. Import prices are also available for yarns from India, Indonesia, Pakistan, and Vietnam. Bangladesh Yarn Prices: Domestic Markets (Monthly Report)

14 March 2019 - Cotton yarn prices are falling in Bangladesh, due to a series of factors including lower cotton prices and slowing down apparel exports. Illegal yarn imports would also depress prices. Bangladesh could now offer Washington to use US cotton in exchange of tariff cuts for its apparel. Viscose fiber and yarn prices are everywhere declining over excess inventories in China. Cotton fiber prices are also recovering over state buying and a similar rebound of sales to China. Our review of Indian yarn prices covers the domestic and export markets, including carded and combed cotton, poly-cotton, poly-viscose, 100% polyester and 100% viscose.
