E.U. Clothing Imports : Latest Trends (Monthly)

Clothing imports by EU fell at a higher rate in April than in preceding months, while Chinese shipments contracted less dramatically. Our report presents monthly EU-27 imported clothing data classified by origin, with emphasis specifically on historical trends between China compared to the Rest of the World (RoW) and Bangladesh on one hand, and knit versus woven clothing on the other hand. We provide data in both Euros and US dollars, with historical data available for download from January 2002.

Minimum Wages in Apparel Manufacturing Countries

Minimum wages have been raised dramatically in a few countries where inflation rates soared in 2022-23, resulting in sharp differences between apparel manufacturing countries. Our report displays minimum wages in low-cost apparel manufacturing countries in Asia from 2015 to 2023, in local currency and US$ terms. An eight-year comparison is available in local currency terms, 2015 US$ terms, and nominal US$ terms.

Inflation in Emerging Countries (Monthly)

In May, inflation rates continued to decline in most low-cost countries, although they rose further in Pakistan and Bangladesh.
