Madagascar Threatened With Losing Duty-Free Access (Country Report)

22 July 2009 - Madagascar is successfully resisting the global crisis but could be removed its duty-free access to the US market after a coup overthrew its former president earlier this year. The only threat of losing AGOA eligibility may depress demand from the United States to the second largest supplier of the US market in Sub-Saharan Africa.
