Wool Prices in Australia (Weekly Report)

1 February 2019 - Wool prices have continued rising this week in US$ terms in Australia. Demand has remained strong whatever the rebound of the Australian dollar and with only a few days before the Chinese new year. Unit prices of wool exports from Australia and South Africa have surged from the third quarter 2015 to the same quarter last year. Export prices of wool fibers from New Zealand and Uruguay has stayed very depressed in the meantime.
