India Yarn Prices: Domestic and Export Markets (Weekly Report)

21 November 2018 - Cotton prices are now more clearly falling in India, in line with the seasonal rise of cotton arrivals from the new crop. Spun yarn prices are slightly dropping, as a consequence. The decline remains limited with cotton prices expected staying firm. Our review of Indian yarn prices covers the domestic and export markets, including carded and combed cotton, poly-cotton, poly-viscose, 100% polyester and 100% viscose. Major yarn production centres are covered with Tirupur (Tamil Nadu), Bhiwandi (Maharashtra) and Ludhiana (Punjab). Yarn prices are compared with fiber prices offering latest trends of spinners' margins. Market fundamentals are available on a monthly basis, including production and exports. US Apparel Imports in 3rd Quarter and Jan-Sep 2018: Categories (Statistical Report)

14 November 2018 - US cotton apparel imports have stopped falling in volume terms in second and third quarter this year, although unit prices have rebounded. Man-made fiber imports remain firm, thanks to the stability of unit values whereas the surge of wool apparel prices has depressed demand, as reflected by our detailed analysis of US apparel imports per category. Cotton Prices on International and Domestic Markets (Weekly Report)

12 November 2018 - Cotton prices have remained relatively firm this week on international and domestic markets, with pessimism however prevailing after the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) has confirmed that cotton consumption could eventually be lower than expected this season. Production levels have also been overestimated, especially in Pakistan where prices are further rising as a result. Our weekly cotton report covers the international futures market in New York and China, and the physical indicator "A Index". Nylon/Polyamide and Caprolactam Market Prices in China (Monthly Report)

28 June 2018 - Nylon prices have remained very firm in the last four weeks in the Far East whatever the fall of benzene and caprolactam. Demand remains strong from downward filament weavers whereas the rise of crude oil prices is supporting upward anticipations. Our monthly report covers the latest and long-term trends of nylon 6 (polyamide 6) prices, also displaying a vertical view of the nylon chain prices, including benzene, caprolactam, staple fibers and filament yarns.
