Pakistan Yarn Prices: Domestic and Export Markets (Weekly Report)

16 January 2019 - Cotton fiber and yarn prices have stayed unchanged for the last two weeks in Pakistan where textile production could however be boosted by higher sales at Heimtextil fair this year, our correspondent reports. Demand for spun yarns could soon rebound, in line with a recovery of textile exports following the recent decline of the rupee. India Yarn Prices: Domestic and Export Markets (Weekly Report)

16 January 2019 - Yarn prices have been slightly raised on India's domestic market whereas yarn export prices were further lowered over a decline of the rupee and a lack of demand from foreign markets, including China. India's cotton yarn exports have been very strong in the first months of the fiscal year before plunging at the end of 2018, as reflected by latest trade data available in our report. Our review of Indian yarn prices covers the domestic and export markets, including carded and combed cotton, poly-cotton, poly-viscose, 100% polyester and 100% viscose. Major yarn production centres are covered with Tirupur (Tamil Nadu), Bhiwandi (Maharashtra) and Ludhiana (Punjab). China Yarn Prices: Domestic and Import Markets (Weekly Report)

15 January 2019 - Cotton yarn prices have continued dropping in China where the market is very depressed by an unusual level of fabric inventories. The US-China trade war and he economic slowdown have convinced textile producers to limit their demand for raw materials, negatively affecting yarn sales, a few weeks before the Chinese holidays. Our weekly report covers the China yarn domestic and import market indicators, as well as local market prices in Qianqing and Shaoxing (Zhejiang). Prices of a large number of counts are released for spun cotton, polyester, viscose and blends. Import prices are also available for yarns from India, Indonesia, Pakistan, and Vietnam.
