Textile Fiber Price Comparison (Monthly Report)

19 March 2019 - Textile fiber prices have bottomed out on the global market, partly due to a rebound of textile production after lunar year holidays in China. Cotton prices have sharply recovered in New York and on India's domestic market whereas viscose prices were however heavily falling in China. Nylon and acrylic prices are been firm with wool prices dropping by contrast. China Yarn Prices: Domestic and Import Markets (Weekly Report)

19 March 2019 - Viscose yarn prices are now falling in China, as a result of a sharp decline of viscose fiber prices in the past two weeks. Yarn import prices are also dropping, due to the rise of the yuan in the past period. Our weekly report covers the China yarn domestic and import market indicators, as well as local market prices in Qianqing and Shaoxing (Zhejiang). Prices of a large number of counts are released for spun cotton, polyester, viscose and blends. Import prices are also available for yarns from India, Indonesia, Pakistan, and Vietnam. Recycled Polyester Prices in China (Monthly Report)

19 March 2019 - Recycled polyester prices have slightly increased two weeks ago, in line with a short-lived rebound of PTA and MEG prices having boosted demand for polyester fibers. PET bottle flake prices are staying stable in China whereas demand foe recycled fibers should not significantly increase in the coming period. Our report covers the recycled polyester PSF and POY prices in China over the past 3 years. Re-PSF and Re-POY prices are compared with similar virgin fiber prices for PSF and POY prices. US Apparel Imports in 4th Quarter and Full 2018: Categories (Statistical Report)

18 March 2019 - US apparel imports have rebounded in the last quarter of 2018, mostly due to a surge of man-made fiber apparel imports boosted by the fall of their export prices. By contrast, cotton apparel imports have been far from surging, due to rising unit values. Wool apparel imports have recovered, whatever the sharp increase of unit prices, as reflected by our detailed analysis of US apparel imports per category. Polyester Chain Prices: PX, PTA, MEG and Fiber Prices (Weekly Report)

18 March 2019 - PTA and MEG prices have fallen in China after authorities have decided to lower VAT as of April 1st in order to support industrial production. Demand remains strong from polyester fiber industry where operating rates have continued rising in the past week. Our weekly report covers the polyester chain in Asia, including PX (paraxylene), PTA (purified terephthalic acid), MEG (mono-ethylene glycol), polyester chips, and polyester staple and filament prices. Asian Contract Prices (ACPs) are also available for the PX, PTA and MEG markets in Asia, with 5-year charts and downloadable historical data.
